Woven fabric is interwoven by warp and weft yarns. It has tight structure, high stiffness and good dimensional stability. It is not easy to deform. But the elasticity is poor. It is suitable for clothing with high requirements for “type version, three-dimensionality and stiffness”.
1.Shirt and formal clothes
Shirt: Cotton woven fabric, such as poplin and oxford textile, is stiff and breathable. Silk woven fabric has good drapability, which is suitable for making high-end shirt. Chemical fiber woven fabric, such as polyester,is anti-wrinkling and easy to maintain. The stable structure of woven fabric can support the neat model of the shirt’s turn-down collar and cuffs, etc., which are not easy to sag.
Formal suit: The suit jacket, trousers and suit skirt are almost all made of woven fabric. Woven fabric can create a three-dimensional effect on the shoulder line and waistline, etc. of the suit, and keep the model flat and neat.
2.Coat and trench coat
Denim jacket and trousers: Denim is a typical woven fabric, which has tight and wear-resistant structure. It can support the tough style of denim jacket and the straight and slim style of denim trousers. It is not easy to deform.
Trench coat and overcoat: The gabardine and khaki fabric commonly used for trench coats and wool coarse-spun fabric and cashmere woven fabric for overcoats are all woven fabrics. Woven fabric has stable structure and has good thermal insulation property.
3.Trousers
In addition to denim trousers, most non-sport trousers are made of woven fabrics, such as suit pants, casual pants and cargo pants. The dimensional stability of woven fabric can avoid trousers shrinking after washed.
4.Functional clothing
The outer layer of outdoor jacket: It is made of nylon woven fabric. It is compact and tear-resistant, thus it can support the wind-proof and water-proof function of outdoor jacket.
Sun-proof clothing: It is made of polyester woven fabric. The tight weaving can reduce the penetration of ultraviolet rays. And the model is stable, which is suitable for outdoor wearing.
