The Function of Dispersing Agent
The functions of dispersing agent is to use wetting dispersing agent to reduce the time and energy required to complete the dispersing process, stabilize the dispersed dye dispersion, modify the surface properties of dye particles and adjust the mobility of dye particles.
1. Improves luster and increases leveling effect.
2. Prevents surface dyeing or dyeing flower.
3. Improves coloring strength.
4. Decreases viscosity and improves loading capacity of dyes.
5. Decreases flocculation.
6. Increases storage stability.
7. Increases color rendering property, color saturation, transparency and covering power.
The Mechanism of Dispersing Agent
1. It can be adsorbed on the surface of solid dye particles to make the surface of the condensed solid particles easy to be moistened.
2. High-molecule type dispersing agent can form an adsorption layer on the surface of solid dye particles to increase the charge on the surface of solid particles, so as to enhance the reaction force between particles that forms three-dimensional hindrances.
3. It forms a bilayer structure on the surface of solid dye particles. The polar ends of the outer layer of the dispersing agent have a strong affinity for water, which increases the wetting degree of solid particles by water. Solid particles are separated from each other due to electrostatic repulsion.
4. It can make the system even, increase the suspension performance, prevent sedimentation, and ensure that the physical and chemical properties of the entire system are the same.
