In healthcare, intelligent fiber is applied in touch and pulse signal perception. It is a sensor based on fiber pressure, which is based on the conductive pattern of ordinary fabric and used carbon tube-clad cotton yarn as the top electrode. The fiber itself is composed of bundles of fibers that are micrometers in diameter. The porous structure between the bundles and between the fibers can provide a large amount of specific surface area, thus greatly improving the sensitivity of the pressure sensor. It means that small changes in pressure can cause the sensor to response. This kind of fiber tactile sensor can be attached directly to the skin to detect pulse signals.

And different nanomaterials can be deposited on the electrodes to show patterns of different colors. The conductive fiber is based on common polyester fabric. After it is deposited battery active material, it can keep the original porous structure of fiber.
